Welcome to The Wellbeing OT
An Occupational Therapy service designed to help individuals of all ages achieve greater independence and improve their quality of life. The service takes a holistic approach, addressing the physical, emotional, and social aspects of wellbeing. Occupational Therapy empowers individuals to live their best lives by promoting independence, enhancing wellbeing and supporting participation in meaningful activities.
About Me
I am a dedicated and compassionate occupational therapist with an extensive background in a variety of clinical settings. I have amassed a wealth of experience in community settings, equipment provision, falls prevention, elective orthopaedic surgery, rheumatology, dementia care, neurological rehabilitation, spinal injury, and mental health. My holistic approach to care ensures that each patient receives tailored interventions that support their unique needs and goals.
In addition to my professional expertise, I have personal experience as an informal carer for a family member with a long-term condition. This dual perspective, both as a healthcare professional and a caregiver, has deepened my understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities and their families. I use this invaluable insight to advocate for and implement patient-centred care that promotes independence and quality of life.
Getting Started
Free 15 minute telephone consultation
I offer a free, no-obligation 15-minute telephone consultation to ensure I am the right person to support you with your goals. During this brief call, we can discuss your needs, answer any questions, and determine how I can best assist you in achieving your desired outcomes.
Initial Assessment
An initial assessment is a vital first step towards creating a personalised occupational therapy plan tailored to your needs. This assessment can take place in the comfort of your home, over the telephone, or online, ensuring flexibility and convenience.
Purpose
The primary goal of the initial assessment is to gather comprehensive information about your current situation, challenges, and goals. This detailed understanding allows us to establish a customised treatment plan that aligns with your needs and aspirations.
Duration
The initial assessment will last up to 90 minutes, providing ample time to discuss your concerns, evaluate your environment, and identify key areas for intervention.
By the end of the assessment, we will have a clear and actionable plan to help you achieve your occupational therapy goals, enhance your independence, and improve your overall quality of life.
